I am a pediatric cardiologist at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where I’ve had the privilege of serving the Broward County community since 2003. My focus is on caring for patients with congenital or acquired heart disease from the prenatal stage through adolescence. I provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of conditions, including heart murmurs, congenital heart defects, arrhythmias, chest pain, syncope, Kawasaki disease, rheumatic heart disease, and inflammatory conditions such as pericarditis and myocarditis. I also offer cardiovascular assessments for sports participation and medication use.

Growing up in the Dominican Republic, I was inspired to pursue pediatrics after seeing the impact of high childhood mortality rates in developing countries. I wanted to make a difference by helping children lead healthier, brighter lives.

For me, being a physician means more than treating a medical condition—it’s about empowering families with the knowledge they need to understand and manage cardiac diagnoses. I also have expertise in noninvasive diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, Holter and event monitors, tilt table tests and stress tests.

I’m honored to have received several awards throughout my career, including the "Healthy Mother and Healthy Babies of Broward County" and the "Pediatric Excellence Award." Additionally, I enjoy teaching and mentoring future healthcare providers through academic programs at Broward Health/Nova Southeastern University and the University of Miami.
