About Me
I am a cardiologist at Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute and board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography and vascular ultrasound.
A native of Santiago, Dominican Republic, I earned my medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre Y Maestra, where I graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude. I received subsequent training during an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida, where I was named best resident-fellow of the year on five occasions.
I was drawn to cardiology because I was fascinated by the physiology of the heart. But what I love most about my work is helping patients understand what is happening with their heart and figuring out a way to make them feel better. It is incredibly rewarding.
