About Me
I’m a board-certified physiatrist at Memorial Rehabilitation Institute, specializing in neurological rehabilitation, including stroke recovery. I also provide comprehensive care for various conditions, from neuromuscular disorders and orthopedic injuries to complex medical needs and post-surgical recovery. This includes helping patients with amputations, traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries regain their independence.
My mother was a dedicated registered nurse, and watching her care for patients inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. When my grandmother experienced a stroke, her recovery through inpatient rehabilitation sparked my passion for physical medicine and rehabilitation. Seeing the difference rehabilitation made in her life led me to become a physiatrist.
At Memorial, we take a team-based approach to care. I work closely with patients and their care teams to create personalized rehabilitation plans. I’m always open and honest about the options, including the benefits and risks, so that we can make informed decisions together.
Helping patients reclaim their lives after a neurological injury is deeply rewarding. I believe in building strong relationships with patients and their families, as this connection is crucial in the healing process. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing patients improve and knowing I’ve been part of their journey toward recovery.
