About Me
I am a high-risk obstetrician and gynecologist at Memorial Healthcare System. I have more than 20 years of experience in caring for women, from adolescence through their reproductive years and after menopause, with special interest in infertility, robotic surgery, minimally invasive procedures and high-risk pregnancy. I also provide comprehensive and unique care for the LGBTQ community.
One of the reasons I chose to be an OB/GYN physician is that I have always been fascinated with the miracle of bringing a new life into the world. My happiest moment of the day is when I’m handing a healthy baby to the parents after the long, nine-month journey. It’s a privilege to be part of that joyful moment, which will be engraved in their memory for the rest of their lives.
Pregnancy can be stressful and I recognize the inherent fears and concerns that women often experience regarding their unborn babies — especially if it is a high-risk pregnancy. I try to be sensitive and compassionate to those feelings, and to provide professional care that ensures not only that they have a healthy pregnancy but also a joyful experience.
In addition to caring for patients, I also have extensive experience teaching and mentoring medical students and young physicians. I’m also active in several medical organizations and often present and publish many research and textbook articles.
