About Me
I take care of patients in the intensive care unit who are critically ill with primary neurologic conditions – from brain and spinal cord injuries to critical nerve diseases. The gamut of conditions I treat ranges from strokes – both hemorrhagic and nonhemorrhagic strokes and seizures – to traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
I often treat very complex diseases and am passionate about what I do. I enjoy taking care of patients who have had acute strokes. One of my focus areas is aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, where patients have hemorrhage in the brain from a ruptured aneurysm.
It’s very gratifying to help patients and their families through very trying and difficult times in their lives. Every day I’m amazed at what the human body and human spirit can endure. That gives me the most inspiration.
When I’m not working, I enjoy fishing and lounging on the beach – anything that’s near the water.
