About Me
I am a neurologist at Memorial Healthcare System where I treat patients with a wide array of complex neurological disorders. This includes cerebrovascular disease, acute stroke syndromes, stroke mimics, vasculitis, autoimmune encephalitis, autoimmune neurological disorders, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), status epilepticus/seizure disorder and acute headache syndromes.
I specialize in vascular neurology and neuroimmunology and enjoy working with patients with cerebrovascular pathologies and neuroimmunological disorders including multiple sclerosis.
My decision to join the medical profession was a combination of my natural affinity for academics and my experience caring for several family members with chronic neurological conditions, such as my grandfather, who suffered a devastating stroke. My passion for neurology led me to complete fellowships in neuroimaging and multiple sclerosis and vascular neurology.
I love my work and have a strong passion for both the research and clinical aspects of neurology. I am intrigued by the constant advancement in the field and the ever-developing technologies that I can utilize to help my patients. I believe in compassionate patient care and establishing long-term relationships with my patients to provide excellent medical care. I also enjoy teaching residents and medical students and preparing the next generation of great neurologists.
In addition to caring for patients and teaching, I have published in numerous peer-reviewed publications including Brain, Journal of Neuroimaging, Journal of the Neurological Sciences, International Journal of Neuroscience, American Journal of Neuroradiology, CNS spectrums and Frontiers in Neurology. I’ve also presented at many national and international industry events, local multiple sclerosis awareness talks, various community talks and conferences.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing cricket and spending time with family and friends.

Research
I have published and presented my work on both national and international platforms. My areas of research include cerebrovascular disorders, Susac syndrome, the treatment effect of multiple disease-modifying therapies on MRI metrics in patients with multiple sclerosis and neuroimaging. I also participate in quality improvement projects to improve stroke core measures and quality of care.
During my vascular neurology fellowship, I served as a principal investigator for the study “Retrospective chart review in Susac syndrome patients” at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and continue to collaborate with the project.
I also served as principal investigator for the study “Ocrelizumab in participants with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis” at Florida Atlantic University. I presented our research at the American Academy of Neurology annual meeting held in Boston in April 2023.
