About Me

I am a colorectal surgeon at Memorial Cancer Institute. I specialize in caring for patients with colon and rectal cancer, benign anorectal disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and minimally invasive surgery.

I earned my medical degree from the University of Miami and completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami in 2012. I then completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of South Florida in 2013.

I believe strong relationships with patients are crucial to building trust and confidence in our care. This is especially true in the types of cancer I treat because the diseases can make patients feel vulnerable and embarrassed. I want patients and their families to feel comfortable and at ease discussing their health and concerns with me so we can address issues head-on.

In cancer care, a collaborative, comprehensive team is crucial to obtain good outcomes. We’e  lucky to have that here at Memorial. Here, we have everything patients need to be successful when preparing for or recovering from an operation.
