How to Submit an Invention

An important first step in our invention assistance process is objectively determining whether an idea is worth pursuing. Our team can evaluate ideas at any stage, such as a concept, prototype or established business plan but we recommend that if your idea is a theory, abstract concept or an incremental improvement, you develop the idea further prior to submitting the form.

Once you have an idea that is a product, process or service that provides a unique solution to a problem in the healthcare industry, we encourage you to submit the Invention Disclosure Form.

In the document, we ask for:

  • Title
  • Abstract summarizing the key points
  • Description of the invention, including how the invention is novel
  • A list of all people who have directly contributed to the development or conception of the invention
  • Disclosure of any grant money received
  • Stage of development
  • Technical feasibility
  • Known publications or intellectual property that are relevant to your invention
