Understanding Healthcare Series
The MHS Graduate Medical Education department is pleased to provide a longitudinal curriculum for trainees aimed at developing the skills needed for their future practice of medicine. The curriculum is a 8-day seminar series entitled “Understanding Healthcare.“ Trainees will participate in this longitudinal curriculum across their first 3 years of training at MHS.
The curriculum is divided into four domains:
- Healthcare Quality & Cost
- Residents as Leaders
- Social Determinants of Health
- Wellbeing
The content was chosen from surveys and interviews with various GME vested parties, including the trainees themselves, healthcare executives, and allied health professionals. Content varies from year to year as needed. We are proud to be able to offer this innovative series and prepare our trainees to practice 21st-century medicine.
